Seager had three hits, including a home run, to lead the Seattle Mariners to a 4-2 victory over the Rangers on Saturday night. Seager is hitting .362 with five home runs and 16 RBIs in 69 at-bats against the Rangers this season. Overall, the 26-year-old third baseman is hitting .280 with 23 homers and 88 RBIs -- all career highs. "Its kind of all about learning," Seager said. "You learn about yourself. I know what I did wrong at the end of last season. If you do something wrong, you can go back and know how to fix it." Seager hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning to tie the score 2-2, and singled and scored in the Mariners two-run eighth against Neal Cotts (2-9). "Hes pretty special," Seattle manager Lloyd McClendon said of Seager. "Its a nice feeling having him at the plate." Danny Farquhar (2-1) worked two scoreless innings to earn the victory, and Fernando Rodney got the last three outs for his American League-leading 43rd save. Seattle shortstop Brad Miller, who came in with a .205 batting average, had a career-high four hits to help the Mariners move 1 1/2 games ahead of Detroit for the leagues second wild card. The game started following a rain delay of 3 hours, 13 minutes. "Its worth the wait for a lot of reasons," McClendon said. "A doubleheader (Sunday) wouldnt have been good." He said he spent the delay "like everybody else, probably. I ate ice cream." Ryan Rua had an RBI double and scored on Michael Choices sacrifice fly to put the Rangers up 2-0 in the fourth inning.
